Colby Game

We are lucky to live right next to a town that has a small college with a strong athletic program. Tonight we went up to Colby (home of the "Mules") to watch some of their teams in action. They have a beautiful athletic facility with a basketball court, hockey rink, and a fitness center.
First we caught some basketball action. The men's team was playing their archrival, Bowdoin College (the "Polar Bears").  The girls were a little overwhelmed by the big gym and all the people and noise. They cheered and clapped for both teams, which was a nice display of sportsmanship (or they were just confused about who to root for).Emily wore her new track suit for the occasion. There was also some action going on in the hockey rink, where the men's team was playing Middlebury (the "Panthers"). Colby has had a women's hockey team since 1976, and we hope to get the girls to some of their games soon too.We had a great time watching the Colby games tonight. We think it's good for the girls to see college athletes, especially the women's teams. Plus, the best part is it's free!
