It has been a long couple days of sickness for the family. First Chris, then Kate, then Brenda all got the same virus, which wasn't fun for anybody. So far Emily hasn't got it, and we're crossing our fingers that she won't.
Being sick (especially when your moms are sick too) is a hard thing to go through. During times like these, the girls turn to their comforts. Kate has a special "Lovey", which is a little blanket with a kitty head on it. She sleeps with Lovey every night, and sometimes needs to snuggle Lovey during the day too for extra comfort.
Emily is not as attached to one thing as Kate is, but for the last few months she has insisted on having Goose and Red Sox Bear with her every night in bed for comfort. They both have a special spot on her pillow, and sometimes she reads to them from one of her books before she falls asleep.
