If you know Chris and her family at all, you know that they love the weather. As an "early Christmas present" to herself, Chris bought a Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station, which we installed in the front yard (sorry neighbors).
The station constantly sends data on temperature, wind, rainfall, and barometric pressure to a wireless receiver inside the house, which we call "Davis". When there is a storm approaching, Chris carries Davis around kind of like a third child, checking in with it all the time. Without a t.v., it's one of our biggest sources of entertainment!
