Today we went to the U.S. National Toboggan Championships in Camden. It sounds serious, but it's really just a bunch of people riding toboggans down a chute and having a good time.
The launching area is way up high on the hill, and they have an official timer and race announcer. They get going really fast! The girls wanted to try it, but they are still a little young for that kind of thing. We saw some great costumes, including this penguin team. The weather was perfect in Camden--no wind and about 25 degrees, which is warmer than it has been lately. It's nice to get out when the weather is nice.We even saw some Civil War soldiers! They had a nice fire to warm up by, or to toss things into and watch them burn. Fun!We weren't sure if the girls would like it (you never know with toddlers), but the Toboggan races turned out to be really fun.
