We go for Play Dough

Tonight after bathtime we busted out the Play Dough duffle bag again. Mama got this for the kids a few weeks ago and it has become a favorite activity.
As you can tell from Kate's Concentration Face, the zipper takes a little effort.
The bag comes with six different colors of dough and a bunch of fun tools and cutters, and it's currently good for about an hour of entertainment, which is a lot for our girls. The kids have just figured out how to roll the dough into balls and snakes. They take their Play Dough time kind of seriously.Very seriously.Tonight they worked together on a sculpture for the first time--it was supposed to be a snowman but somehow it ended up with arms and legs. It's so nice to get them playing together on something (although of course there were a few differences of opinion on the construction of the snowman).Even Mom has a great time with Play Dough!

  1. I just love Kate's concentration face. Have you ever thought to make your own playdough? It's really easy, and especially fun at the holidays when you can make red that smells like cinnamon, or green that smells like mint, or brown that smells like gingerbread. You can even at glitter!

  2. Addison loves her play-doh as well. I on the other hand, am not a big fan, too much mess and she always gets it mashed into her clothes. However, she is like your girls, she can spend an hour plus playing with it, which is always nice! Something that can keep them busy for that long is always a good activity!
