Now that the weather is getting cold and it's dark outside when Mom gets home from work, we have started transitioning to inside "winter" games. The kids are getting better and better at doing puzzles, like the one below (thanks Uncle Bob!).
We've also started playing board games, like Candy Land (below), and Chutes and Ladders.Emily really likes the board games, but Kate isn't quite into them yet (she's still at the age where taking turns is a foreign concept).Oddly, it seems like Kate's ideal game is to dress up, accessorize, do her hair, and stroll around finding things to put in her purse.
It looks like it's going to be a long winter for her moms, who aren't really into the dress-up thing.
Brenda, not to be mean or anything, but are you sure Kate came out of you?
ReplyDeleteI know Carla, if I wasn't there for the event I would be doubting it too :) However, I am my mother's child and mom is a girly-girl (for want of a better term), so I guess anything can happen! We will definitely be enlisting the help of Kate's aunties for advice as she grows up....
