Kate is the kind of person who becomes very attached to certain things, and has a hard time giving them up (in other words, stubborn). For example, her purple flower pants. These were originally Emily's (like most of Kate's clothes), but from the instant Kate put them on she loved them.
She will always look for these pants when she's getting dressed, and if they are around she will demand them. They are now too short and full of holes, but they are still Kate's favorites.
We have been told that little kids grow too fast to wear out their clothes (that's why garage sales are such a gold mine)....but I guess Kate proved that wrong.
So if you are ever wondering "why do they dress her like that?", just keep in mind that Kate is Kate.
I've been wondering how many more times she could actually wear these pants...
