The kids have outgrown their old sneakers, so today Mama and Nana took them up to Skowhegan to the New Balance Outlet Store to get some new shoes. They couldn't wait to show Mom!
Usually Emily prefers blue or black shoes, but her new ones are pink with sparkles. She especially likes that they fasten with velcro, so she can put them on herself (her old ones had laces).
Kate's shoes were also pink (of course), and she showed Mom how they helped her play hockey a little better.
Sometimes new shoes can feel like the most exciting thing that's ever happened!
We just got new sneakers too. Ours were blue and yellow....Go Blue! It's never too early to start a love for college football.
