Princess Movie

Today Mom took the girls to the local movie complex to see the new Disney movie "The Princess and the Frog" while Mama stayed home to work on the Christmas cards. The kids, of course, wanted to wear their new pink princess outfits.
Grandma met us at the theater to give Mom a hand. The girls were pretty excited--this was only the second movie they'd ever seen at a theater!Mom told Kate that if she got scared during the movie, she could sit on Mom's lap. Kate decided she'd like to sit there for the whole show, just in case. Finally (after lots of previews) the movie started and Mom got out the bags of home made popcorn for Grandma and the girls. We're not supposed to bring it in, but buying it here would have cost us another $12, which is ridiculous. The kids liked the movie, although Emily got a little antsy during the slow parts. Just a warning to other parents--the movie is set in New Orleans in the 1920's, and there are a few scary voodoo scenes.By the end of the movie neither girl could sit still anymore--they both were leaning on this railing in front of our seats while they watched. After the movie was over they each gave it a thumbs-up!
