Mom has been planning our new swingset for a couple of weeks, and today was finally the day to build it! Yesterday the girls played with the stack of cedar in the garage, and imagined playing on their very own swingset. They were very excited.
In the morning Mama and Emily went out to Nana's, and Grandma & Grandpa L. came over to help with the swingset. Grandma babysat Kate, and Grandpa pitched in to help with the construction.
Mom had already done some prep work in the garage, building the deck platform and the top support beam. All they had left to do was build the A-frames and put it all together!
Grandpa installed all the swing hangers while Mom built the A-frames.
Then they moved everything out to the yard and assembled it.
It looked great! When Emily and Mama got back home, Em was thrilled. She wanted to try everything.
Even Mama tried it out!
Kate woke up from her nap and was also thrilled to see the new swingset. She really liked the steering wheel.
Then Nana, Alana, and Lili came over and tried it out. They liked it too!
The kids all gave it a thumbs-up.
It looked even better after Mom finished putting a coat of wood preserver on it.
We love our new swingset!
