Today we visited Jack and Kent's house, so that their mom Tina could help us with Emily's Halloween costume. The boys are very sweet and generously shared all their toys.
It's always fun to play with other kids' toys for a change. Jack and Emily built a super steep hot wheels ramp and tested it out.......while Kate pretended that this lego castle was actually a dollhouse. Em got to make a little music........and Kate was transfixed by this spinning Buzz Lightyear toy. It's nice to play with older kids too. Kent is seven, and he showed Kate how to "skate" on their new wood floor.......and he showed Emily how to use a calculator!Meanwhile, in the short time we were trying out all the toys, Tina got out her sewing kit and completely modified one of her husband's old shirts into the start of a tunic for Em's costume. Tina is a very skilled crafty person, and we are so glad to have her help, since Mom and Mama can both barely sew on a button. It sure was fun today playing with Jack and Kent!
