Today was a balmy 51 degrees, and to celebrate the warm weather we headed down the driveway to check out the status of the big puddle.
The girls were fascinated by all the running water. Emily even realized that the water was running down the driveway from both directions and filling the puddle in the low spot. Mom was proud of her little engineer's observation!
When we got to the puddle, it was all we had hoped for! Emily got some great splashing in.
Kate didn't really want to get her feet wet, but she liked finding rocks and throwing them in. She kept imitating the ker-plunk sound they made.
We had a nice time enjoying the sun and playing in the mud today.
Here's to the start of mud season!
