Today was a big, big day. To start it off, Emily and Mama got all dressed up for the Mother's Day Tea at Emily's preschool.

The event included food and beverages, and the kids got to serve their moms. It was fabulous!
Emily is always a little bit nervous when Mama is at school (during field trips or other events like this one). But Mama really enjoyed it.
Meanwhile, Kate was home with Nana enjoying her second diaper-free day.
When Mama and Emily got home from school, there was a big surprise waiting: A package containing Kate's new booster seat!
Kate was thrilled. After Mama removed her high chair, she carefully placed the booster on her seat....
....and climbed right up! She was particularly happy that the seat was pink (her favorite color).
The next part of the Big, Big Day was Emily's very first dentist appointment! Both girls went to the dentist and learned about brushing and flossing, and Emily got her teeth checked. Fun!After the dentist, the girls came home and found out how much fun it is to play with two booster seats.
They found lots of ways to amuse themselves.
Kate is finally big enough to play with Emily almost as an equal, which is great. The fifteen month gap between their ages is seeming smaller every day.
We played with the booster seats all the way until bedtime.
