Tonight was the Spring Concert for Emily's preschool, which we have been looking forward to for a long time. It was at Thomas College in Waterville. The weather was beautiful, so the girls wore their sundresses.
Grandma and Grandpa L. came to the concert too, along with Nana. There was a lot of excitement in the air as the auditorium filled up before the show.As the kids filed on stage, Emily looked nervous. She was searching the audience for us.Finally she saw us in the audience, and she smiled and waved. She was right in the front row for the singing!Once the music started, Emily really got into it, and sang her little heart out. She did great! After the performance we met in the lobby to congratulate her. Grandma and Grandpa were very impressed.Nana also thought Emily did an outstanding job. While the second half of the performance continued (the older kids), Em and Kate let off some steam in the lobby. Finally the whole show was over, and the girls got a special treat--ice cream!Emily and the other pre-schoolers worked off their sugar high by chasing each other around the lawn, but Kate focused on her ice cream cone until it was completely gone. What an exciting evening!
