Another sign that Summer is just around the corner: It was time to put Nana's dock in the water. The all-volunteer crew included Mom, Connor, Grandpa N., Uncle David, Uncle Seth, and cousins Alana and Lili. Where was Mama, you ask? She was attending a six-hour class at MOFGA on "Apple Orcharding 101". Lucky her!
The first thing we had to do was get the dock out of the woods and put it in the water. We were sure glad it has wheels! Then we had to put it exactly where Nana wanted it. This was the part where we all got wet.The next step was to make sure the dock was level, then tighten up the bolts on the legs. Finally we attached Nana's new access ramp.Alana and Lili helped out by finding rocks to put under the shore end of the ramp.Nana did the final check--it looks great! The girls can't wait to go swimming and canoeing! After the dock was in, Nana invited us up to the house for chocolate chip cookies and blueberry pie. Yum!
