Last night we went to Alison and Luke's house for dinner, and the girls got their toenails painted for the first time. Emily and Kate had each picked out their own colors at the drugstore earlier in the day, and they were pretty excited.
The toenail painting was Emily's idea (her teacher wore toenail polish to the school picnic and Em noticed), but Kate was even more enthusiastic about it. We were lucky that Alison is an expert toenail painter, because neither of the girls' moms is very good at it!
Emily wasn't as happy with the painting when she found out she had to sit still for a few minutes afterwards to let it dry. She doesn't like to sit still!
Emily (of course) chose blue, and Kate went with purple. Alison did a great job, and the girls were very happy with their painted toenails.
