Today Mom took Emily to her regular gymnastics class while Kate played at Grandma & Pop Pop's house. When Mom and Emily came back to pick up Kate, they discovered a brand new toy in the playroom: A play kitchen!
It was so nice of Gram and Pop Pop to get this for the girls! They really enjoyed making lots of pretend food and "working" in the kitchen.
On the way home we decided to stop at a yard sale. That's where Emily scored this sweet Scooby Doo blanket for only $2!
Not to be outdone, Kate found a couple of small cars she liked for only a quarter.
We finally made it home, where Mama was scything a path through the brambles on the hill for our sledding path this winter.
She even cut some flowers for Mom...isn't she sweet?
Then the girls donned their sunglasses (maybe for the last time this year?) and rode their bikes for awhile.
Mom's sunglasses are flip-ups (thanks Lili!).
In the afternoon, Mama took the kids out to Nana's house for a barbecue, while Mom stayed home to work on some home projects. When they got back, Mama showed off her treasure: Apples from an orchard near Millie's house!
Mama was excited about her apples, and everyone was tired out from all the fun things we did today.
