Today we drove out to Phillips (Maine) to visit Chris's friends Rick and Jan, who live on a beautiful piece of land in a house that Rick built himself.
They showed us their new trout pond....
...and we even got to feed the fish!
Then we took a little walk, and picked some blackberries....
....and visited the pigs!
We went inside to visit, and the kids discovered some excellent toys to play with. This toy kitchen and a little toy doctor's kit kept them entertained nicely while the grown-ups chatted.
They also played with these cute little animal car toys. The girls were very well-behaved during our whole visit, which was nice. 
We enjoyed a delicious barbecue dinner, and had a real nice time visiting with Rick and Jan.
