The kids have both been feeling under the weather for a few days, and Emily has had a real bad cough, so they have been staying home from school. Because of Emily's recent difficulty breathing, Mama took her to the doctor today and got a prescription for a nebulizer. This is a device that administers medicine through a mist, and it's used to treat people with respiratory issues.
We waited all day for the nebulizer delivery, because they also had to show us how to operate it. Finally, just after dinner, Dale showed up.
Dale was a real nice guy--he apologized for arriving so late (he had to drive from Bangor). He gave us a lesson on the operation and maintenance of the nebulizer, and we all paid close attention (even Kate!). Emily was just hoping that her nasty cough will go away soon. After Dale left Emily was pretty excited about the new equipment. We gave it a try right before bedtime, and it seemed to work pretty well on Emily's cough. Hopefully she will be feeling a lot better soon!
