Library Visit

Tonight we realized that it's been a long time since we visited our local library, so after dinner off we went. The girls insisted on wearing their princess dresses over their clothes.
The first thing we noticed is that the Christmas displays are still up.....which we all thought was kind of odd. Maybe they are considered "Winter" displays, which is definitely not over.
And yes, Kate is wearing pink socks on her hands.Even though it's been a long time, the kids remembered their favorite things at the library, like the big checkers set........getting lost in the stacks.........and, of course, the kids play area. There were lots of wood puzzles to keep Kate busy.Emily pulled out this neat floor puzzle and put it together with Mom. She's really getting good at puzzles! The girls played nicely in the kid area for quite awhile. Kate loves to sit and read (although it can be hard to turn the pages with socks on your hands), and Emily got into the brick blocks.Eventually Kate got interested in the brick blocks too, and then it wasn't long before they all came falling down. When it was time to leave, this doll collection really caught Kate's eye. She made it very clear that she likes dolls and would like to have LOTS of them. The girls each checked out two books, so we can't let too much time go by before we visit the library again!

  2. Oh my gosh. We go to the library once a month and check out about 20 books, and I'm still sick of the books we check out. We could go every week. Teo's a little bookworm.
