Drifts

Wow--we got some snow last night! It was hard to tell the "official" depth, because we are on top of a hill and we had lots of swirling wind and drifts. The National Weather Service reported 18" in our neighboring town of Waterville, and that seems correct. 

Our front door was drifted in, and there's a big drift on the roof right outside the bedroom window (see below).

Since we took this photo, Brenda shoveled out the front walk and door. That's a lot of work!

The back deck got lots of snow too--guess we won't be barbecuing for a few hours at least... Chris actually likes to shovel snow so she plans to do the deck later today.
