Last night we took the girls out to Augusta for a live performace of the Nutcracker, done entirely in tap. That's something you don't see every day! The girls' cousins were performing in the show. When we were getting the girls dressed, Kate disagreed about what was appropriate clothing for an evening out (see below).
We finally made it to the show--it was a packed house! There was lots of excitement in the air.
Nana, Uncle David, and Uncle Seth were all at the show too.
Alana and Lili did great--they are very good tap dancers! Alana is in the center of the photo below. We didn't get a picture of Lili performing, but she looked great also.
Kate loved the music and got up and danced in the aisle during the performance. She tried to imitate the dancers on stage.
Emily thought the show was fantastic--she clapped wildly after each song and during intermission demanded "more, more, more!"
Alana and Lili got the traditional post-performance flowers, below. Our girls really love watching their cousins perform...maybe someday Emily and Kate will be in a show too!
