Pre-Christmas Christmas Party

Yesterday we went to Nana's for a pre-Christmas Christmas party.  We got together with Uncle David, Uncle Seth, Aunt Sara, and cousins Lili, Alana, and Sebastian. Millie was there too--what a nice suprise!
We exchanged christmas presents. Aunt Sara knitted a beautiful neckwarmer for Millie...it looked good on her head too!

Uncle David drove all the way from New Hampshire for the party, even though the ice storm had made it a very difficult drive. The power is still out at his house.

It was great to see Nana and Uncle Seth...everyone was in the Christmas spirit.Emily's present was a Thomas the Train puzzle.  She immediately went to work on it (with some help from muma).Kate got a radio that plays songs and also teaches about numbers and letters.  She liked singing in the microphone and dancing to the music.Mom got a beautiful hat and mittens set from Aunt Sara--she is a very talented knitter!

Sebastian got a Transformer.  This is one of those toys that is super cool, but you need a mom and a set of instructions to figure it out the first few times. His transformer could be a plane, a truck, or a robot. After presents, the girls (and Brenda) were enthralled by Nana's toy train.  It went around the Christmas tree, and could go forwards or backwards.  The girls liked hooking up the train cars and giving "rides" to some of the tree ornaments in the open freight cars.Nana fixed a wonderful brunch, with eggs, bacon, and bagels.  Yum!After brunch, we all tried some of Nana's christmas cookies.  They were a big hit. The girls really enjoyed this pre-Christmas Christmas party.
