Saturday morning started with Chris taking a refreshing bike ride around the neighborhood on Leslie's Schwinn Suburban, which she really enjoyed.
Then we did some visiting with our friend Julie B., who stopped by Leslie's house to visit for awhile.Baby Mack, of course, got more attention from the ladies. Then it was time to head south, with a quick stop by Brenda's old high school, just for old times' sake. Of course it was fully locked up, unlike the old days when you could just wander around.Brenda met her old friend LaDawn down on the Tacoma waterfront and had a real nice lunch with lots of reminiscing. Then we headed over to Erin and Josh's house in Gig Harbor for more catching up.Their son Sam is almost two years old now, and he's a little cutie. We went down to the beach at Narrows Park to take in the view of the bridge that we all four had worked on. It looks great! It was nice to sit and talk with them for awhile. We are all very proud to have been a part of such a milestone project. Then it was time to get geared up for the big reunion. We said goodbye to Erin, Josh, and Sam and headed over to the Milton Tavern to prefunction with Leslie, Rhonda, and their spouses. Then we hit Bud's Tavern for the main event. You gotta love Buds....The reunion was a lot of fun, with plenty of talking, storytelling, photo-sharing, and catching up with people that Brenda hadn't seen in years.

GREAT moo! I agree, it's worth it to travel to a high school reunion, even though my 45th last year took only 3 hours to get to. I would like to look at this moo with you to tell me who each person was. I could read Jeannie Sugden's name tag and Trent Fischlin's, but no one else's.
ReplyDeleteHere's some photo ID's for grandma and anyone else who might be interested: Jeanie Sugden, Kristin Spane and Teri Boose, Tanya Harbin and Erin Person, DeAnna Wilson and Teresa Clark, Lisa Heacock and Erin Beals, Mechelle Merkle and Scott Amell, Trent Fischlin and Shelly Kleca, Chad Barnett and his wife, Kurt Hospenthal.
ReplyDeletechad is married to kurt hospenthal? Just kidding, thanks for sharing the picks - looks like a lot of fun. and is there really going to be a 25th?
ReplyDeleteLaDawn, you crack me up...no, Kurt Hospenthal is married (and has 3 daughters!) but not to Chad. I hope there will be a 25th, but I think Mechelle and Erin might need a 10-year break from organizing this one... :)
