On Day Three of our Big Trip the sun finally came out....too bad we had to get on the plane to fly home. It was a beautiful morning, so we took a quick trip to Alki Beach to get a last look at the city skyline before we left.
This is one of Chris's favorite spots in Seattle.
We were hoping that Mt. Rainier or the Olympics would show themselves, but they stayed hidden behind the morning haze.
The final social event on our schedule was meeting Brenda's brother Bob and his wife Tawnya for brunch. We had a real nice visit with them, with lots of talk about last night's reunion.
Bob and Tawnya are planning a visit to Maine in September, and we're all really looking forward to it!
We finally boarded our flight about 1:00, which put us in to Boston at 9:00 p.m. eastern time, followed by a three hour drive home. We were sure tired by the time we got there!
We had a really great weekend, and thanks to everyone (especially Grandma, Pop Pop, and Nana) who helped make the trip possible for us!
