Tonight it was time to change the oil in the lawnmower. When Mama pulled it out and lifted the hood, the kids decided they wanted to "help". We tried to convince them that waving around branches would be a big help (and keep them out of the way), but they weren't buying it.
So Mama showed them where the oil plug is....
....and they got to hold the container while the old oil drained into it....
....and they got to give Mama some supplies, which actually is a help.
They could have done more, but they got kind of distracted (as they always do).
Mama had to finish the job herself, which she was quite happy to do.
